Personal: I have been married to Marie since 2002 and we care for two beautiful black cats named Stormy and Lava.  I love being in nature whether in the mountains or on a beach.  I am the traditional old man (even though I’m in my 30′s) who loves to sit on the porch with a glass of scotch and a cigar or pipe in hand.  I love to garden, read, relax with friends over a meal, shoot photos, paint, and build things with my hands.  I just don’t pretend to be good at any of those things.

Vocational |  I am a pastor and an instigator.  I am a spiritual director.  I get to ask people difficult questions and listen to their stories.  I can’t imagine a better way to spend my time.  My work gives me life and energy.  I am currently involved in two projects that allow to do this work.  The first is the creation of a new faith collective in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of south Seattle.  You can read more about it here.  I am also the founder and director of re | create, in which I provide services such as spiritual direction, consulting and training for groups around issues of sustainability and mission, as well as facilitating retreats for groups and individuals.  If you would like more information please visit jonathanmyers.net
